Just completely lower your expectations and maybe you'll leave feeling somewhat satisfied. It makes me sad to see the standards here plummet. I really want to give this place another chance. Tonight I left feeling furious for the way I was treated.

Often times the check has been coming without so much as a 'how's everything' or an inquiry as to whether or not a second drink was desired. Mutiple requests for water are completely ignored, if not mocked. A simple request for bread is treated with a condescending attitude. I've put up with the rapid decline in service standards because I had always had a soft spot for Anchovies. However, in recent months some of the regular servers have suddenly disappeared and have been replaced by completely unprofessional, unattentive, and uncaring waitresses. Featuring an extensive menu, late hours, and arguably the best bar around, its a great place. The Saturday night bartender is outstanding. Located in Bostons Historic South End, Anchovies is an eclectic neighborhood favorite that is hard to forget.

But the best seats in the house are on the roof deck and the outdoor patio. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors and windows offer expansive vistas of the city skyline. The waitstaff was typically known for having a saucy but friendly attitude, while provide excellent and efficient service. For the best views of Boston bar none, head to Charlestown’s Pier 6 restaurant, jutting over the harbor at the end of 8th Street in the Charlestown Navy Yard. – I have been going to Anchovies every week almost religiously for about two years.
